How to Set Up a Facebook Business Page

[ad_1]

Static FBML Facebook Fan Page App

The static Facebook Markup Language allows you to add a tab to your Facebook Fan page. First you go to the FBML plug in on Facebook, give it permission to access your page, and then paste your opt in form right into the spot where the code ALREADY is or could be. Mine had code in it, I think, because I had already installed it, but yours probably will be blank.

The form should be short, and have a clear call to action, ONE BIG IDEA, no 7 day e course here ...

How to install FBML: The trick to installing it is this: go to Facebook.com and search for Static FBML app. Go to the app page and click the Add To Page under the photo. NOTE: You must have a Fan page before doing this.

Profile HTML Application

My profile HTML allows you to put an email opt in form on the left hand side of your PERSONAL Facebook page, on your wall. It basically works the same way as FBML but works for your Personal wall only. Cool? Make sense? If not, leave a comment and I'll set you straight. See, this is a huge untapped niche (Facebook) for marketing goldmines. If you have a great headline or a compelling lead magnet like an ebook, you're sure to start building some type of list with Facebook-especially if you are personal on your personal page with a dash of marketing with your profile html app on the left hand side. Cool, right?

I really hope this makes sense. If you are looking for some easy ways to use Facebook for marketing your business, then getting these two important apps are essential to building your list on Facebook. Do not believe me? Just look up some internet marketers and see if they have these custom tabs and Facebook apps. They do.
